CEDD Signed Contract for Tung Chung New Town Extension – Infrastructure Works at Tung Chung Valley, Phase 2

The Civil Engineering and Development Department signed a contract of about HK$792 million on 25 February 2026 with CCC-CCECC-CR11G Joint Venture for carrying out infrastructure works under the Tung Chung New Town Extension project.

The works mainly include:

  1. Construction of Road L25, Road L26 and Road L28;
  2. Construction of sewage pumping station (Tung Chung Valley (West));
  3. Construction of village sewerage at Lam Che, Nim Yuen, Shek Lau Po, Mok Ka and Shek Mun Kap;
  4. Construction of sustainable urban drainage system, stormwater attenuation & treatment pond at Tung Chung Area 45C;
  5. Construction of polders;
  6. Construction of Tung Chung River Park (Phase 2);
  7. Reprovisioning of Shek Mun Kap Public Toilet and refuse collection point;
  8. Ancillary works including associated civil, geotechnical, drainage, sewerage, water supply, electrical and mechanical engineering and landscaping works; and
  9. Implementation of environmental mitigation measures for the works mentioned above.

The works commenced on 2 March 2026 for completion in 2029.
