Cross Bay Link, Tseung Kwan O – Main Bridge and Associated Works awarded Local Grand Prize of the “CIC Construction Innovation Award 2022”

The Construction Industry Council (CIC) Innovation Award aims to lead the development, promotion and application of new materials and methods to enhance the competitiveness of the Hong Kong construction industry. The steel arch bridge of the Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Link adopts S690QL high strength structural steel as the construction material. Moreover, a significant portion of construction activities has been relocated from the site to off-site locations to ensure the quality of the project, monitor progress, and mitigate risks. The Cross Bay Link also uses a "Float-over Method" unprecedented in Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland to install 10,000 tons of heavy components.
