Cross Bay Link, Tseung Kwan O – Main Bridge and Associated Works received Gold Award of “CIC Construction Digitalisation Award 2021” under Project Category

CIC Construction Digitalisation Award recognises outstanding local projects and local organisations for their contribution in the promotion and adoption of digitalisation tools and workflows and in bringing about innovation. From the outset of the project, Cross Bay Link, Tseung Kwan O of Civil Engineering and Development Department, Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology was integrated throughout the project, ensuring that the final test results closely matched actual operations. At the same time, off-site prefabrication has been extensively adopted in Cross Bay Link, Tseung Kwan O, covering all structural components and most auxiliary elements, making the installation process more efficient. Other digitalised tools include IoT, 3D surveying, robotics and automation in the construction and electronic site inspection system.
