Development of the Loop was awarded the Best Municipal Project BIM Application Award (Gold) in the 9th International BIM Award 2024

Contract No. YL/2020/02 under the Development of the Loop project received the Gold Award for the Best Municipal Project BIM Application Award at the 9th International BIM Award 2024 (by IDTM), recognizing its outstanding and innovative BIM implementation for two viaduct road bridges. The team fully leveraged digital technologies: LiDAR 3D scanning and drone-based photogrammetry for precise site mapping and risk identification; comprehensive BIM models for engineering analysis and construction planning; and augmented reality (AR) to enhance transportation and lifting operations. These tools optimized methodologies, and mitigated safety and programme risks. By integrating BIM across design, construction, and coordination, the project strengthened collaboration, accelerated decision-making, and improved quality and sustainability.
