Development of the Loop received the Certificate of Merit of the HKIE 2024/2025 Best Environmental Paper Award

We were honoured to announce that Development of the Loop project received the Certificate of Merit of the HKIE 2024/2025 Best Environmental Paper Award for the paper under the title "An Innovative Ecological Conservation Approach for Harmonising Development and Sustainability in the Loop" organized by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Environmental Division on 6 May 2025. This award recognizes engineers' efforts in environmental projects that address pollution control and sustainable development, encouraging the implementation of eco-friendly projects. The Loop's project team integrated sustainability with development in the Loop project by creating a multifunctional Ecological Area. This innovative approach included rainwater management and wetland compensation, enabling sustainable revitalization of 74 hectares. It served as a reference for ecological conservation and flood mitigation in Hong Kong's infrastructure.
