Anderson Road Quarry Joint Cavern Development District Councils Consultations – Visits to the Public Works Central Laboratory and the Hong Kong Public Records Building

The Geotechnical Engineering Office organised visits to the Public Works Central Laboratory (PWCL) and the Hong Kong Public Records Building (HKPRB) for members of the Sai Kung District Council and the Kwun Tong District Council.  Presentations were given to the members to introduce the background of the Anderson Road Quarry Joint Cavern Development Project, functions and missions of the PWCL and the HKPRB as well as the advantages for accommodating these facilities in caverns. Then, guided tours to various sections of the PWCL and the HKPRB were arranged for the members so as to enhance their understanding on the daily operations of these facilities.
