West Development Office (WDO) is mainly responsible for planning and implementation of engineering projects related to major developments mainly in the Yuen Long, Tuen Mun, Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing Districts.

Current major projects undertaken by WDO include the Yuen Long South, Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen, Ngau Tam Mei New Development Areas, Developments at Lau Fau Shan, Tsim Bei Tsui and Pak Nai areas, and Development of the Loop.
