Stratigraphy: Cretaceous volcanic rocks with an age of approximately 142.9 ± 0.2 million years before present.

Distribution: The Mang Kung Uk Formation crops out mainly in the vicinity of the Clear Water Bay Penisula.

Lithology: Dominantly tuffaceous siltstone with minor crystal-bearing fine ash vitric tuff and tuff breccia.
