The Civil Engineering and Development Department today (April 7) invited tenders for delivering reclamation material to Mainland.

The scope of works of the contract comprises mainly the operation of public fill reception facilities at the Tseung Kwan O Area 137 Fill Bank, the Tuen Mun Area 38 Fill Bank, the Quarry Bay Temporary Public Filling Barging Point and the Mui Wo Temporary Public Fill Reception Facility, as well as the delivery of public fill to the designated reclamation sites in Mainland.

The works is expected to start in September, 2006, and will take about 25 months to complete.
The Fill Management Division of the Civil Engineering and Development Department is responsible for the design and supervision of the contract.

The invitation to tender was gazetted today and the closing time of the tender will be noon on Friday, June 2, 2006.
