Brief Description of Project Scope:

  1. bioremediation treatment of the contaminated sediments over an area of about 90 hectares of seabed at Kai Tak approach channel and Kwun Tong typhoon shelter;
  2. dredging of about 13 hectares of seabed at Kai Tak approach channel;
  3. repairing and reinstatement works to the embankments of the associated waterways;
  4. demolition of a disused dolphin connecting to the former airport runway; and
  5. provision of necessary environmental mitigation measures and implementation of an environmental monitoring and audit programme associated with the above works.
