Hong Kong Island & Islands Development Office
Hong Kong Island & Islands Development Office is responsible for the planning, programming and implementation of the engineering projects related to major developments on Hong Kong Island, Lantau and outlying Islands.

For Hong Kong Island, Wan Chai Development Phase II is the major project currently on-going on Hong Kong Island.

For Lantau, improvement works at Tai O and Mui Wo are being implemented in phases. Phase 1 of the improvement works at Tai O and Mui Wo had been completed, Phase 2 Stage 1 of the improvement works at Tai O and Mui Wo are under construction. Planning and engineering studies are being undertaken to plan comprehensively the topside development at Hong Kong Boundary Boundary Crossing Facilities Island of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and the land use of the Ex-Lamma Quarry area at Sok Kwu Wan. Detailed design of the infrastructures for Tung Chung New Town Extension is being carried out and the tendering exercise for the infrastructure works for the developments at Tung Chung Area 54 is in progress. Besides, improvement works for mountain bike trails at South Lantau are being implemented in phases.
