The book is organised according to the main groups of rocks, with the commonest
rock types and ancient landforms treated first. It concludes with
an account of the modern landscape and how the activities of man
are contributing to the changing shape of the coastline.
This soft-covered booklet, which is printed in A4 landscape format, features
sixty-two colour plates spread over sixty-one pages.
The bilingual (English/Chinese) booklet contains brief descriptions
and sketches of the most common rock types and structures
found in Hong Kong.
